Most couples are planning to hire a professional wedding photographer in order to capture memories that will last a lifetime. Many people may be curious as to the costs of having professional level pictures taken.  Here are all the costs associated with having pro level quality pictures taken.

Candid shots are the main expense that a photographer will and ago, and these are taken in both the wedding and reception were a photographer will spend all day taking snapshots.  Candid photos can also be assembled for the parents and for the attendants, and albums of the wedding for the parents usually cost extra and are not included in the photography costs themselves.

When you’re looking at spending $250 are more on an album made by designers such as Art Leather, Leather Craftsmen, or a similar leather bound album, the costs can add up quickly.  All of these types of wedding albums are guaranteed to last a lifetime and the pictures are permanently bound to the album forever.

So why exactly should you go out and purchase such expensive albums when vinyl ones can be had for a much less expensive price?  The answer is that vinyl will eventually damaged the photographs even if it takes over a decade.  If you’re serious about preserving your wedding memories it is a good idea to go for a very expensive model of wedding album which will preserve a photographic record of your wedding forever.

Digital options are also prevalent in the photography marketplace today, and you may want to choose these as the photographs can simply be printed directly onto the album itself.  This makes an excellent selection for wedding guests who you don’t want to spend $500 on.

The third factor in wedding photography costs includes those pictures which are taken before the wedding like a bridal portrait.  Bridal portraits in the South are usually taken indoors, about six weeks before the wedding itself.  Some people also opt to have the engagement portraits taken, and usually the two expenses involved with this are the sitting fee and that of the portrait itself.

A sitting fee is a charge for the photographers time, and the print charges are the actual costs that it will cost in order to have the pictures edited and developed.  Lastly, how much does a wedding photographer cost?  Fees range widely depending on professionalism, but in a rural area, you are looking at around $600 and in New England fees may be upwards of a few thousand dollars. Keep in mind that you will almost always get what you pay for, but try not to go overboard. A professional photographer for under $1500 will usually do you just fine.
